I have absolutely loved the Keekaroo Peanut Changer and am so glad that I purchased it. This was definitely a splurge, as most diaper changing pads are less expensive. This changer has been fabulous and is still something that I use on a daily basis.
The Keekaroo Peanut Changer is different from the other changing pads and I’m excited to share why! One of the best features of this pad is that it is impermeable to fluids and is very easy to clean. I am able to wipe it down very quickly after use. There is no need to place a cover over the pad. That is a huge bonus since there are some days where messes occur on more than one occasion. I already have enough laundry and don’t need to add more if I don’t have to! If there is one thing I have learned as a new mom it is that it’s worth paying more money for a product that will make diaper changing as hassle-free as possible.
Changing the diaper on a squirmy baby is no easy task, so why not make it as easy and safe as possible! The Keekaroo Peanut Changer is slip resistant, thus it does not move around when you’re changing a diaper. I have my changer set up on a dresser and I have never had it slip or move around. It stays in place and that’s a huge plus once your baby starts wiggling around all over the place!
The shell is constructed out of Dura-Soft Material that limits the growth of bacteria and mold. This is nice since I don’t really feel like having my changing pad function as a Petri dish. Also, the materials used to make this pad are very safe and you won’t need to worry about placing your little one directly on it. The pad is BPA-free, Latex-free, PVC-free, Phthalate-free, and Formamide-free. I appreciate the fact that the Keekaroo is made out of materials that prevent deterioration of the shell, which in turn makes it super durable. This changer is crack and puncture resistant. The bottom line is that you’re not only getting a changer that is made out of materials that are safe and durable, you’re also getting a changer that is very soft and comfortable for the baby.
The Keekaroo Peanut Changer comes in a variety of fun colors that are sure to match any chic nursery. I was so excited when I found that they had a color that perfectly matched my nursery. Since this is a more expensive nursery item, I highly recommend choosing a color that can work for either a boy or a girl if you’re planning to use the this changer in your nursery for subsequent kids.
If you’re having any hesitation about purchasing a changing pad that is on the more expensive side, you might be happy to know that the Keekaroo Peanut Changer comes with a 5 year warranty.
I should mention that there currently is a temporary 6-8 week lead time if you order directly from Keekaroo. Due to the limited inventory, the prices are quite inflated on Amazon at the moment. I have a good friend who just found one that is practically brand new on her local Facebook Swap Site, so that’s another place to keep in mind if you’re looking for one and don’t want to wait so long.
Overall, the Keekaroo Peanut Changer may be an expensive product, but it’s built to withstand daily use. At the end of the day you won’t feel bad shelling out the money for this!
