Even before my son was born I researched bibs. Yes, you heard me right. I’m that crazy mama who wanted to be prepared well in advance of my little one eating solids. After all, you never know what day you may wake up and need one, right? I have always been a bit type A when it comes to taking care of my clothes, so I guess it comes as no big surprise that I want to do whatever I can to keep my kids’ clothes as clean as possible.

After reading a number of very positive product reviews, I purchased the BabyBjörn Soft Bib, as it had very high ratings on Amazon. Right away I found that my son was able to pull the bib off. It has an adjustable snap that he was easily able to undo by pulling on the bottom of the bib. Also, the spill pocket was quite stiff and would hit his high chair tray awkwardly. Even though I really wanted to like this product I realized that it did not come close to living up to the hype and that I needed to quickly find some replacement bibs.

You may think I’m kidding, but after a quick trip to Target, I found a winner. The Summer Infant Bibbity Rinse and Roll Bib is by far my favorite baby bib for a number of reasons. It works so well and has features that really make it a good choice for your baby as solids become a more prominent part of their diet. Not to mention, it’s very affordable compared to other bibs.

The bib comes in three bright and fun colors, which include green, blue, and pink. I have the green colored bib and it still looks as good as it did over two years ago when I purchased it.

The bib is flexible and can easily be rolled up for storage in your diaper bag when heading out to dinner or onto an airplane. We go out to eat quite a bit and travel to see family in Oregon often, so this has been a very handy feature for us! It easily fits in my diaper bag organizer and is super convenient for travel.

My son is unable to remove this bib by himself! This is huge, as I don’t have to worry about him pulling it off every other second during the middle of a meal. The neck closure provides three different size settings, so it’s easy to adjust as your baby grows. The adjustable neck opening allows you to find the most comfortable fit for your baby! I’ve seen a couple of reviews where people say their baby is able to remove this bib and that just hasn’t been my experience – and my son is typically pretty good at getting things off of him!

These bibs are 100% waterproof and the spill pocket really does collect food as it falls. I find it pretty humorous when I see my baby looking in the pocket for more food to eat! My son wore this bib until he was about two years-old and the bib no longer covered the front of him due to his size. At that point I switched him to a bib intended for older toddlers.

Finally, I have found that this bib is durable and very easy to wipe clean after use. After messier meals it can safely be placed on the top rack of your dishwasher. I have found that sometimes foods like spaghetti can initially stain the bib, but running it through the dishwasher seems to do the trick. For those interested in safety, this product is constructed out of materials that are BPA-free and PVC-free. Unlike the stiff BabyBjörn Soft Bib, the Summer Infant Bibbity is made out of flexible material that is very comfortable for the baby. These bibs have held up extremely well after daily use for almost two years. My daughter is now using the Summer Infant Bibbity Bibs and they continue to work well and look great!

Overall, I think you’ll be very happy with this purchase. I dare you to find a bib that is more effective and affordable!
